Santa visits the zoo

It seems that Christmas has come early this year at Bristol Zoo Gardens. Santa distributed gifts for the four-legged and furry residents of the zoo.
For some of us an Xbox or iPad might be at the top of our Christmas lists, the zoo’s furry four legged recipients appeared more than happy with stockings filled with fruit and fish.
In keeping with the festive season, the zoo’s latest arrivals two reindeer named Jingle and Bell were amongst those getting presents. All animals appeared to be more than happy with what Santa dropped off for them this Christmas.

Kitten launched

I thought myself that Christmas was a happy time, however I recently read that a male kitten was found in some grass near a slip road in Luton. The poor little guy had been re-named Rudolf by RSPCA staff because he had some red marks on his face.
Given these guys injuries to his face the vets have come to the conclusion that there is a strong chance that he had just been thrown out of a moving car, Rudolf was found near a busy junction with no residential properties in the area for him to be just simply lost.

Dog Treats

If you are a dog lover and like to spoil your pooch rotten…then I may have come across the perfect book for you. A dog biscuit recipe book which is the holy grail of great food for dogs! If dog’s are anything like men, then we both know that a way to their hearts is through their stomachs! This book isn’t just showing you how to make chocolate drops; it introduces you to the nutritional values in dog biscuits! In this book it also provides you with treat bags and cool cookie cutters. This is a super cool little book that I think you dog lovers should invest in!

Poor Dugongs and Turtles

The Liberal National Party (LNP) has announced that a policy to tighten laws to prevent the cruelty to dugongs and sea turtles in far north Queensland. Traditional landowners can hunt dugongs and sea turtles for non-commercial use apparently under the Native Title Act.
But LNP leader John-Paul Langbroek says that this has left the animals exposed to harmful cruelty. RSPCA Tracey Jackson says they have encountered some really horrific cases.
“Cutting them up whilst they’re still alive, and leaving them to bake in the sun,” she said.
Mr Langbroek says the LNP would make it illegal for traditional hunters to wound, mutilate or torture an animal, with these kinds of penalties – up to two years in jail or a $200,000 fine.

Pampered travelling

While many airlines have stopped providing pillows and blankets to its passengers traveling in the economy section of planes as part of cutting costs, it appears that if you are a pet lover and wish that your pet fly alongside you instead of in the cargo hold. Pets that travel on Valley Air flights are given treats, toys and a blanket to sleep on. Bone shaped food was served on a silver tray to one of the pets on board one of these flights. So if you are a big pet lover and would hate to see you special animal down below in cargo hold then these are the guys that you need to fly with.
